With football season (Go EAGLES!) upon us we are all scrambling for something different to bring to the tailgate or the party. If you are like me, you want the food you bring to be the star of the day (and you also want your team to win!). Years ago, the hoagie dip recipe was given to me by a friend’s mother, and I have made it for every party since. People always leave wanting more, and usually I get a text or call asking for the recipe. So I have decided to put it out there for everyone to have. Your friends and family will thank me!
So this dip is basically everything you would find in an Italian Hoagie, minus the bread. I have served it with mini bruschetta toasts, but have found that thick sturdy kettle chip give it the salt factor that I feel the bread was missing. This dip is great because you can make a little or you can make a lot, and its even more delicious the next day!
